Popis:	This paper intends to discuss the gender-based discrimination faced by the women in Pakistan. It has substantially reduced their status in the society. Despite the fact that equal rights and safeguards have been assured by the Constitution, Universal Declaration of Human Rights and CEDAW, they remain insecure and marginalized. This paper also suggests measures and recommendations in order to overcome the hindrances faced by the women in achieving proper status and recognition in our society.
