Popis: | The existence of primary ovarian lymphoma is controversial, and its incidence is rare. Serous tumors of low malignant potential (LMP) of the ovary are relatively common and account for nearly 15% of all serous tumors of the ovary. Primary ovarian lymphomas, however, are rare, with less than 1% of lymphomas occurring as an ovarian mass. We report the occurrence of a primary ovarian small noncleaved cell lymphoma adjacent to a serous tumor of LMP in the same ovary of a 32-year-old woman. We discuss the diagnostic criteria for primary lymphoma of the ovary and serous tumor of LMP of the ovary. (J GYNECOL SURG 10:189, 1994) |
