This study examines the factors that influence instructors' acceptance and use of the Distance Learning Management System (DLMS) and tests the applicability of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), in the context of distance learning practices in higher education. A survey was conducted to higher education instructors who involved in distance learning instruction. This study used a set of questionnaire which was adapted from TAM with three factors namely Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use and Behavioural Intention to Use. Using data from a survey to distance learning instructors (N=110), a path analysis revealed that perceived ease of use of the system had a significant impact on perceived usefulness as suggested by TAM. In addition, this study confirmed that Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness have positive effect on Behavioural Intention to Use. |
