The authors report the observation of shot noise in the electrical transport in methyl-ethyl-morpholinium (TCNQ)2 in its dimerised phase. The shot noise occurs under conditions where the material is ohmic. An explanation is proposed in terms of electrical transport by solitons with fractional charge +or-1/2e. |
