Popis: | A gold-catalyzed formal (3+2) cycloaddition of benzylic alcohols with 1-phenylpropenes in an ionic liquid permits the environmentally friendly stereoselective synthesis of polysubstituted indanes in good yields and with high selectivity. The gold catalyst can be recycled at least five times. |
