Popis:	The San Francisco Bay Area has long been recognized for entrepreneurship in "high tech" industries, and more specifically for innovative contributions to microwave technology. This was particularly true with regards to the application of this technology to defense requirements and programs. This article will broadly review the development of defense-related microwave technology and the associated industry in the SF Bay Area, in the last 50 years.
