Popis: Mechanisms underlying the white color of these lesions have been addressed in Chap. 3, dedicated to macules. The most common white palpable lesions are cysts, molluscum contagiosum, and sebaceous hyperplasias. Other lesions are the manifestations of metabolic disorders such as gouty tophus or calcinoses; the latter may occur, for example, in patients with connective tissue diseases.
