The liquid waste of the fish smoking center is the remaining waste water used for washing the inside and outside of the fish's body. Fish washing waste has a high ammonia content so it has a negative effect on the environment. Based on preliminary tests at the Center for Smoking Fish X, Tulungagung Regency, ammonia was produced of 11,047 mg/L, which exceeds the quality standard of the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5 of 2014. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of the combination of Effective Microorganism 4 (EM 4) and Pistia stratiotes in reducing ammonia in the wastewater of fish smoking centers. The research method uses laboratory scale experiments. The research design is the Pretest-Posttest Control Design. The independent variable in this study was the combination of Effective Microorganism 4 (EM 4) and Pistia stratiotes. While the dependent variable is the level of ammonia in the liquid waste of fish smoking centers. Data analysis used the One Way ANOVA test. The results showed that the effectiveness of reducing ammonia ranged from 23.45 percent -93.56 percent. Based on the Post-Hoc Test it was found that the decrease in ammonia in each treatment had a significant difference. Abstrak: Limbah cair sentra pengasapan ikan merupakan sisa air buangan yang digunakan untuk pencucian bagian dalam dan luar tubuh ikan. Limbah pencucian ikan memiliki kandungan amonia yang tinggi sehingga berefek negatif bagi lingkungan. Berdasarkan uji pendahuluan di Sentra Pengasapan Ikan X Kabupaten Tulungagung dihasilkan amonia sebesar 11.047 mg/L, dimana melebihi baku mutu Permen LH RI Nomor 5 Tahun 2014. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas kombinasi Effective Microorganism 4 (EM 4) dan Pistia stratiotes dalam menurunkan amonia pada limbah cair sentra pengasapan ikan. Metode penelitian menggunakan eksperimen skala laboratorium. Desain penelitian yaitu Pretest-Posttest Control Design. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini yaitu kombinasi Effective Microorganism 4 (EM 4) dan Pistia stratiotes. Sedangkan variabel terikatnya yaitu kadar amonia limbah cair sentra pengasapan ikan. Analisis data menggunakan uji One Way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan efektivitas penurunan amonia berkisar antara 23,45 persen-93,56 persen. Berdasarkan Post-Hoc Test didapatkan bahwa penurunan amonia pada setiap perlakuan memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan. |
