Popis: This article investigates the diverless trend in the global oil industry, demonstrating relevant aspects of this transition that involves replacing human diving in subsea operations with specific tools and equipment. In this sense, the operational, financial and security aspects related to the theme will be explored. Using the descriptive methodology and in light of Petrobras' case studies, the article aims to correlate the technologies developed to enable diverless operations - including changing the scope of the important Petrobras Route 3 Gas Pipeline project - with increasing operational efficiency and reducing the costs involved in operations. The article also contextualizes the benefits obtained by reducing human exposure and improving safety indicators, a current and relevant topic in the oil industry.
