Popis: Measurements of the concentration profile of gaseous species along the flow direction in seal-less disc-type SOFC anode channel were performed using partially reformed methane as a fuel. Gas chromatography was used for the analysis. The inlet gas to the anode was found to be in its equilibrium composition dictated by the temperature of the reformer. The osmosis of ambient gas was found to be noticeable when the cell was operated under low fuel utilization just as observed previously using hydrogen as a fuel. The effect of internal reforming was observed when the modified anode current collector was used instead of pure Ni. In this case, it was found that the cell works up to fuel utilization values as high as 80%, even if the temperature of the reformer was 550 {degree sign}C. Observed H/C ratio suddenly decreases at the outer rim of the cell.
