Popis: | 1. Oxides of triphenyl- and aryldiethylarsines in dimethylformamide are reduced in one irreversible two-electron step. In the presence of phenol, four or more electrons per molecule are consumed for the reduction. 2. The satisfactory correlation of the half-wave potentials with the Hammett and electrophilic constants of the substituents in the series of aryldiethylarsine oxides is considered as evidence of the participation of the d-orbitals of the As atom in the formation of chemical bonds. 3. The Hammett and electrophilic constants of the p-As(O)Et2 and p-AsEt2 groups were found. |
