Popis:	Using scanning tunneling microscopy in dimethylformate, [Ru(bpy){sub 2}(bpy-(CH{sub 2}){sub x}-bpy){sup 2+}] (x = 4 and 5) monolayers adsorbed on the unreconstructed and {radical}3 x 22 reconstructed surfaces of Au(111) were imaged in this paper. The substrate had a highly ordered pattern on the reconstructed surface, but random spatial distribution on the unreconstructed surface. 17 refs., 3 figs.
