Popis: | Obesity is characterized by a dysregulation of pro- and anti-inflammatory adipokines which are involved in the pathogenesis of obesity-related insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. We showed that the advanced glycation endproduct (AGE), Ne-(Carboxymethyl)lysine (CML), accumulates in adipose tissue in obesity and that CML, via the receptor for AGEs (RAGE) leads to inflammatory adipokines. |
