Objective: To review the scientific literature on the applicability and advantages of the use of the hypodermoclysis technique in palliative care patients. Method: This is an integrative literature review, using the descriptors "hypodermoclysis" AND "palliative care" in the databases contained in the Virtual Health Library (VHL). As inclusion criteria we used complete articles, available online, in Portuguese, English and Spanish languages, published between 2012 and 2022. Results: The studies highlight the importance of using the technique for patients in palliative care, since it promotes comfort, autonomy and quality of life by providing care at home. Conclusion: The technique of hypodermoclysis presented itself as a safe, low-cost and effective alternative for the control of symptoms of patients in palliative care, especially pain. |
