Popis: On August 3,1994 the Photovoltaic Array Space Power Plus Diagnostics (PASP Plus) experiment developed by the Air Force's Phillips Laboratory was launched by a standard Pegasus rocket released from a B-52 aircraft into a 70° inclination, 363 km x 2550 km orbit This allowed the examination of space plasma interactions in the perigee portion of the orbit and radiation damage effects (from passage through the inner radiation belt) in the apogee portion. By August 1995, extensive data bases had been gathered on leakage current (for positive biasing) and array arcing (for negative biasing) versus bias voltage, plasma density, and ram orientation and on array output-power degradation versus radiation dose. A brief description of the experiment's test arrays and diagnostic sensors is given, along with a detailed summary of the data gathering periods for positive and negative biasing. The results of several analyses of the high-voltage interactions data and the radiation-induced array degradation data are presented.
