Popis: Extensive air showers of high electron density (average density ∼ 700 particles/m2) have been observed at sea level. The rates of all classes of events with respect to sidereal time are constant within the statistical errors. With respect to solar time however a variation of amplitude ∼ 20% and period 12 hours has been found. This variation is out of phase with the previously observed variation of high energy local penetrating showers. Both are correlated with the oscillations of the atmosphere.
