Synthesis and properties of prepolymers based on oligobutadienediols of different molecular mass and 2,4-toluylene diisocyanate

Popis: The kinetics of urethane formation on reaction of oligobutadienediols with 2,4-toluylene diisocyanate at an [NCO]:[OH] ratio 2:1 (prepolymer synthesis) is studied, and it is shown that a change in the reactivity of oligobutadienediols of different MM can be explained by different ratios of the auto-associated and π-bonded OH groups. The molecular mass parameters of the prepolymers and their changes during reaction and the fragmentary composition of the products are studied. The experimental data are treated by a mathematical simulation method, and a correlation is obtained between the prepolymer composition and the kinetic constants.
