In the presented article, the authors investigate the issue of the role and significance in the application of technologies for processing large data arrays using Big Data in the development of the pharmaceutical industry. Taking into account all the complexity and knowledge-intensiveness of the process of developing and launching a new drug on the market, the introduction of new approaches to the collection of additional information can significantly facilitate and simplify this procedure. It is also important that the use of Big Data technologies in pharmaceuticals significantly reduces the cost of the development process and minimizes possible risks associated with human health. In this regard, the relevance of the application of Big Data technology in the pharmaceutical business today is extremely relevant, since both manufacturing companies and consumers benefit.
