Technical courses in agriculture and livestock aim to prepare students to plan, monitor, and evaluate agricultural projects, analyzing available resources, technological, economic, and social situations of rural property. Students of these courses need an area for field practice, such as a farm. However, there are cases where such infrastructure is not available. This paper presents a serious game implemented in the form of a three-dimensional virtual environment (Fazenda 3D, version 2.0) that simulates a rural property. The user can know the sectors of the property, aiming to accomplish the missions “encurralada” and “vacinacao,” in addition to answering the questions of quizzes that are on plates scattered around the environment. The Fazenda 3D software is a playful environment that intends to motivate students’ interest in the contents of technical agriculture and livestock subjects through games. In addition to assisting in the understanding of the contents taught, the software allows students to further cognitive development of their skills and competences when carrying out their professional activities. The software was 100% approved by the specialist in the technical area and by the students of the course. |
