Popis: This communication focuses on the development of an End-of-Degree project (EDP). Understanding that, in an EDP the students should apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the completion of their studies. The development of a portable electrocardiograph as a possible measure of the acquired competences by a student in an engineering degree it is presented. The project is developed in several stages from the capture of the electrical activity of the heart to its representation on a colour LCD screen of 240 × 320 pixels, where the number of beats per minute is indicated, in addition to whether the patient has normal or abnormal cardiac activity.
