Popis: Oriented, amorphous-crystalline polymers—polyethylene and polycaprolactam — were used for the studies. Dynamics of molecules in amorphous intercrystallite regions were evaluated from the temperature dependence (in the range of 100–350°K) of the intensity of small-angle reflection, in crystallites—from the temperature displacement of wide-angle equatorial reflections. Tensile stressing was carried out up to 240 (polycaprolactam) and 2100 MPa (PE). It was found that segmental vibrations are markedly inhibited in the amorphous regions during stressing and stress has practically no effect on transverse vibrations of molecules in crystals (for PE up to 4200 MPa).
