Experimental Study of Ability of a Surface Subcritical Streamer Discharge to Absorb the Energy of Microwave Radiation in Dependence on Angle of its Falling

Popis: The paper is devoted to experimental study of a surface streamer subcritical discharge ability to absorb the energy of microwave radiation in dependence on dielectric layer orientation at air atmospheric pressure. The effectivity of energy absorption by surface discharge was measured by means of ballistic method. The modification of Sedov's theory of point explosion for gas with initial pressure allows to define the explosion energy included in discharge channels by microwave pulse radiation. The performed measurement of the energy transform from microwave radiation to a gas heat is the most direct one. The measured absorbed energy is compared with total energy in radiation beam, falling on dielectric plate.
