Popis: The article considers the issues of preserving language and traditional culture of the indigenous peoples of the Far East by the teachers of the Khabarovsk Territory through the expansion of the language environment of the ethnos within the project of creating a single information and cognitive space. The targeted internet resource «Khay-nu erdenge» that contains various linguistic and extralinguistic tools and materials is an effective means for achieving the goal. The project launching enabled to increase the interest and motivation to study the ethnic Nanai language: the growth of the corresponding parameters including native speaker language skills, respect to the language, and the awareness of the necessity of its learning was 4-8%. Popularizing Nanai customs and traditions among the young generation and harmonizing inter- and inner-generation relations enabled to decrease ethnic indifference and ethnoegoism that can also be considered as a positive result of the project.
