The article deals with the issues of transformation of family relations in the ethnic cultures of the South of Russia (in the context of social integration of the multicultural macroregion). The analysis of modern foreign and domestic literature about the integration of ethnically heterogeneous communities shows that modernization processes entail the destruction of the traditional organizational structures of ethnic groups, the core elements of which are the principles of family relations regulation and gender interaction. However, in many cases reverse tendencies of revival and reproduction of ethnic traditions are fixed in relation to family and gender. It complicates the integration of multicultural communities on the basis of union sociocultural norms of interaction. It is shown that the construct of analysis of the societal dynamics in the subregions of the South of Russia suggests the separation of traditional (patriarchal), transitional and modernized stages of the transformation of family relations. The basic criteria are 1) the content of attitudes regarding the nature of family-marriage and gender relations on the scale of traditionalism/modernism; 2) coincidence/non-coincidence of gender subgroups in these settings; 3) synchronization degree of the modification of private (family) and public (professional and socio-political activity) spaces of gender interaction. |
