Popis: | UV mutagenesis of the strain 1529 A his 1 of Yarrowia lipolytica to give a 20% survival provided genetic variants for selection of tributyrin non-utilising mutants. Nystatin selection procedure gave an enhanced efficiency of recovery of tributyrin non-utilising mutants. The mutants isolated reverted at frequencies which ranged from 10 −7 –10 −9 per cell plated. Eight of the mutants were assayed for extracellular lipase activity and gave low lipase activity when compared with the parent strain 1529 A his 1 . |
