Popis: | This study examined the causal process of burnout and intention to quit for nurses.Using 1196 nurses working at five large scale hospitals, a questionnare survey was conducted.The questionnaire included measures of leaderships, nurse/physician collaboration, job characteristics, hospital culture, team work, job satisfac tions, burnout, and intention to equit.The main findings were as follows.(1) Leadership of nurse manager had effects on hospital culture and her subordinate morale.(2) Nurse/physician collaboration had effects on hospital culture and team work.(3) The job characteristics had effects on job satisfaction.(4) The corporation, component of hospital culture, did not directly have effect on burnout, but indirectly had effect on it through mediation of team work.(5) Team work and job satisfaction had effects on burnout and intention to quit.(6) The results moderately supported causal process model.The results were discussed in terms of their implications for future research. |
