Popis: William Robinson (1838–1935) was one of the most significant horticulturists of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, publishing, among other titles, The Wild Garden (1870) and The English Flower Garden (1883), and founding a series of periodicals including The Garden, Gardening Illustrated and Flora and Sylva. Robinson was Irish by birth, but spent almost his entire adult life, after 1860, in England.
