Popis:	Several trans-1-(o-alkylphenyl)decahydro-1-naphthols were synthesised from trans-octahydro-1(2H)-naphthalenone with aryl-lithium. Their conformations were assigned on the ground of the chemical shift of the hydroxyl proton. A comparison was made with the corresponding cyclohexanols.
