Thermoacoustic effects on propagation of a nonlinear pulse in a gas-filled tube with a temperature gradient

Popis: This paper examines experimentally thermoacoustic effects on propagation of a nonlinear compression pulse in a gas‐filled tube with temperature gradient imposed spatially repeatedly by stacks of plates placed therein. It is shown that when the temperature gradient is present, the effects tend to increase not only in the peak pressure but also the total acoustic power flux and momentum flux.
