Popis:	The paper cautions that seeking rapid resolution of questions involving consciousness and matter may only obscure some of the deeper issues involved. A plea is given for maintaining a certain creative tension or alchemical containment with regard to these issues. Phenomena such as mystical states, projective identification and synchronicities suggest the existence of global mind that transcend quasi‐mechanistic theories of consciousness. Alternative approaches based upon the ideas of active information, patterns of form and meaning, and the implicate order are discussed.
