Popis: To determine if use of specific vocal behaviors was perceived to change across age, parents of 834 children, aged 3 to 7 years, rated 16 voice usage items for frequency of occurrence. Results of the data analysis indicated that parental perception of voice usage was directly related to a child's age. Specifically, as the child's age increased, voice usage became more conservative. Frequency tables for vocal behaviors across age were developed.
