This study examined how physical activity and athletic status affect subjective and objective measures of executive functioning in university students. A total of 217 university students aged 18-25 (83% female) completed a virtual assessment of executive function. The predictor variables were age, sex, physical activity and athletic status. Structural equation modelling was used to predict objective executive function using a three-factor model (shifting, updating, and inhibition).
