Thermal and optical properties of semitransparent ceramics: laser-induced high-temperature modifications

Popis: The laser combined express technique has been applied to high temperature (T ≤ 3000 °C) measurements optical (reflectivity, transmission, absorptivity, volume absorptivity) and thermal (heat capacity, temperature conductivity and heat conductivity) properties of different ceramics (AIN, Si 3 N 4 , SiC, Al 2 O 3 ). It was found that the ambient atmosphere (neutral, oxidizing or reduced pressure) noticeably affects the physical properties of the heated ceramics that marks a noticeable structural and chemical modification of the material.
