The samples for the analysis of the qualitative composition of bottom fauna originate from 39 sampling sites along the 587.4 km of Danube's course in Serbia, during the investigation period between 1987 and 2003. The total of 136 taxa were recorded including also 38 identified species of oligochaetes. The purpose of the investigations was to present the results of the qualitative study of the bottom fauna communities with more detailed treatment of the Oligochaeta community in the Danube on the territory of Serbia and Montenegro (S&M). |
