Research on Low SNR Mono-pulse Detection Algorithm for Space-borne Receiver

Popis: The space-borne pulse receiver will detect the pulse signal passing through the ionosphere, which amplitude attenuation and phase change of each frequency are relatively random. Conventional pulse detection and time-frequency methods with rapid development recently may be improper to detect the time-varying mono-pulse effectively on low SNR. Firstly, after analyzing the time-frequency characteristics of pulse signal, a Short-time Cross-correlation detection method based on matched inner product is proposed. The initial value of the cross-correlation base is derived from the typical sample processing. The estimation value can be obtained by inner product calculation with the pulse signal in the sliding window range. On this basis, combined with the estimation of frequency characteristics, the composite detection of tracking several sliding windows beyond the sensitive threshold is carried out, which further improves the detection rate. Finally this method can realize the detection under low SNR which also lays the foundation for the signal reconstruction and recognition.
