Popis:	The yellow clam Mesodesma mactroides (Deshayes, 1854) is an intertidal sandy beach bivalve that is distributed from the southeast of Brazil (Ilha Grande, Rio de Janeiro State, 23°S) to Argentina (Isla del Jabali, Buenos Aires Province, 41°S) (Rios, 2009).
