Popis: | Poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile) (SAN) foam is produced for applications requiring high impact and/or high solvent resistance. The use of environmental friendly carbon dioxide is preferred as a foaming agent when possible. Little or no data are available for the solubility and diffusivity of carbon dioxide in SAN. In this work data are provided for these properties at 30, 125, and 165 °C and pressures up to 6 MPa. The results show the solubility follows Henry’s law above the glass transition temperature and the diffusivity is a relatively strong function of temperature. |
