Popis: The effects of nicotine and some other hedonic agents (ethanol, morphine, caffeine, DL-amphetamine) on spontaneous activity of hippocampus neurones in the rat have been studied. It was found that only nicotine and ethanol exclusively increase the number of impulses discharged from single neurones, while morphine, caffeine, and DL-amphetamine increase or reduce the activity.
