Popis: | The equilibrium composition in the system U–O–H at temperatures 300–3000 K is calculated using thermodynamic functions. It is shown that the decomposition of water in H2 and O2 can be achieved in steps: first with only hydrogen being released at 1200–1500 K and then only oxygen at 2100–2500 K. When uranium dioxide interacts with water, mainly two uranium oxides are formed – U4O9 and UO3; nine gaseous components can have appreciable partial pressure: UO, UO2, UO3, UO2(OH)2, H2O, H2, H, OH, HO2. |
