Popis: An IBM 709 FORTRAN computer program has been developed to predict the noise environment within and around complex duct systems. The program includes analytical and empirical procedures for calculating air‐ and structure‐borne noise‐attenuation and ‐regeneration characteristics in the system, each system component, and external sound‐transmission fields along the system path. The program is also set up to compare the costs of the various alternative methods of sound‐attenuation treatment and to select the most economical solution.
