Popis:	The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) has a long-standing commitment to the International Council for Science (ICSU), a non-governmental organization with a global membership of national scientific bodies representing 141 countries and 31 International Scientific Unions, including IUPAC since 1922. Among its three strategic priorities, the Council works to promote the Principle of Universality of Science, enshrined in its Statute 5 and adherence to which is a condition of ICSU Membership.
