Popis: | Metathetical reactions of lanthanoid chlorides (La, Sm and Lu) with one, two and three equivalents of sodium t-butylcyclopentadienide allow the isolation of mono-, bis- and tri(t-butylcyclopentadienyl) lanthanoid complexes. Except for the amount of THF coordinated to the metal center. the synthetic chemistry of these complexes exactly parallels that observed for the parent unsubstituted Cp derivatives. Attempts to exploit the increased steric bulk of the t-butyl substituted Cp ring in the synthesis of stable dialkyls of lutetium failed to yield isolable complexes. |
