Popis: | In this paper, a mode II plane stress crack in an elastic-perfectly-plastic material has been investigated. In the plastic zone, based on the Huber-Mises yield criterion and the Prandtl-Reuss flow rule, the stress field near crack line is expanded in power series of the distance, y, to the crack line. The unit normal vector of the elastic-plastic boundary R p (ψ) is expressed in power series of the angle, ψ, to the crack line. At the elastic-plastic boundary, to match the stress field in plastic zone with the elastic singular field for a crack shows that the elastic field out of the near-tip plastic zone cannot be the elastic singular field for a crack. Hence, the usual definition of small scale yielding is questionable. The elastic-plastic boundary on the crack line has been determined by matching the stress field in plastic zone with the elastic dominant field (i.e. K- field ). |
