Popis:	We examine a path-based dummy light scheme that supports fast optical channel reconfiguration operations, stabilizing EDFA behaviours without requiring ubiquitous deployment of dummy light sources. The latter property may be useful in network cost-reduction, evolution or element failure scenarios.
