Popis: This paper examines the perceptions of a scientist at a global diversified company. I found that IP managers can modify the cognitive biases of scientists, and bring them to seek common assumptions with core business logics -- that is, find common ground. As a result, management can frame existing capabilities in new ways using common assumptions with scientists' cognitions as led by the IP management viewpoint. Organizations can then add new strategic alternatives via innovation based on newly interpreted capabilities.
