Popis: | Data usually are stored in memory in binary form. For example, the integer 6 might be stored as 0000000000000110, where the 0s and 1s represent binary digits. On the other hand, formatted data records in a file consist of characters. Thus, when data is read from a formatted record, it must be converted from characters to the internal representation. Conversely, when data is written to a formatted record, it must be converted from the internal representation into a string of characters. |
