Popis: This chapter reviews the clinical anatomy of the vestibulocochlear nerve, with a focus on the course of the nerve from the brainstem to the cochlea. To this end, we provide a brief overview of histological and neurological components relevant to the vestibulocochlear nerve, and we discuss the most common clinical pathologies of the vestibulocochlear nerve, concentrating on hearing loss, vestibular schwannoma, and vestibular neuritis. Finally, we explore anatomical and surgical implications related to the above-mentioned conditions.
