Popis: | Use was made of the adsorption by Cab-- 0--Sil M5 Silica 99.0 to 99.7% SiO/sub 2/) in controlling counting losses. Adsorbing compounds, when counted without silica, gave low initial count rates. Using silica they gave stable values over a period with count rates as high as homogeneous systems. Nonadsorbing compounds gave equally good efficiencies (48 to 50%) with or without silica. (P.C.H.) |
