Popis: In coded aperture imaging applied to nuclear medicine, the ultimate limit is the Poisson noise of the gamma ray source. We show that the noise depends on the type of code. In particular we compare the signal to noise ratio between images obtained either by a Fresnel zone or by an annulus at equal resolution. This comparative study allows to choose the best code and, for a Wiener type deconvolution filter, to specify the optimum noise parameter. A deconvolution example is given.
