Smart-grid and smart micro-grids technologies can significantly enhance the integration of renewable energies and alleviate the effects of their intermittence. This mostly due to integration of modern communication technologies allowing an intelligent and flexible control of power flow in the grid. The dispatch of electrical power produced by many generators to the loads requires rapid and robust decisions, this process of control is known as energy management. The purpose of this work is the research of the optimal energy management solution for a PV-WIND-Micro turbine energy system to minimize the cost of generated energy with the application of the particle swarm optimization (PSO). Matlab software is used for programming and simulation of this work.
